What do you think this Fishing Hot Water for Big Bass ft. 1rod1reelfishing video?
It’s another YouTube fishing collaboration with 1rod1reelfishing and we are bass fishing a central Texas hot water power plant lake to do a late afternoon fall fishing challenge. The lake was low, so we went right after some big bass offshore that we located. Most of the fish seemed to be setting up in about 10 feet of water and we were fishing crankbaits, jigs, and swimbaits. Due to the warm water in the lake, these largemouth bass have developed a softer mouth than most other lakes at this time of year. All the big fish also seem to come right up and jump, making it challenge for anglers to land a big bass. There were many bass that must have been suspended because they kept hitting my crankbait as it was coming up at the end of a cast. Having fish hit your lure right under the boat while fishing is always trouble because they are at their full fight strength and you don’t have much line out on the rod and reel. After loosing nearly a dozen big bass on jigs and crankbaits, Mike landed a few and turned our luck around. Overall, we had a lot of bites that didn’t get in the boat but it was still a great day on water with some really healthy average size bass.
In this video you will learn how to position your boat to get the most affective depth when targeting bass around banks like the dam we were fishing.
