Me and lunkerstv are at a pond we have never been to for an odd lure bass fishing challenge out of a jon boat. To our surprise when we were about to put the jon boat in the pond, there was a long snake coiled up underneath the jon boat. Snakes love to hide under boat and other objects like this that are cool and have shade. After we removed the snake from the jon boat, we went fishing with off soft plastic worms, craws, frogs, ducks, and lizards. They bass were eating the banjo minnow the best. The other soft plastic baits did well too, especially the big lizard. We are using techniques that are good for pond fishing and bank fishing just about anywhere.
