August 26th/27th, 2020 (Session 57/58) – Finally, here is the last episode of my 2020 Summer Roanoke Fishing Trip!!! In this video, I go back to the Tinker Creek for some well deserved revenge on the “suckers” that I have been seeking. Make sure that you watch the whole thing for the “unexpected catch” in this video. 😁 Read more about it below:

Did you know that…?

😈…There are more than 20 different species in the Moxostoma genus — all of them native to the United States of America. And yet, 99% of the fishing community refer to them, collectively, as “Suckers.” The truth is that the majority of anglers out there have no clue as to how to identify them. I mean…the majority don’t even know that they exist!
😈…Despite the rumors that “Suckers” are “dirty fish” that eat “raw sewage” and all the other “filthy stuff” in your local Creeks, the species in the Moxostoma genus can only survive in environments were the water pollution is minimal. They prefer clean and clear water, not to mention that the majority of their diet consists of small invertebrates and tiny organisms that they “suck” from the bottom of the Creeks and Rivers that they inhabit.
😈…There seems to be a surviving population of the Roanoke Logperch (Percina rex) in the Tinker Creek, despite all the horrible spills that have happened in that Creek in the past. As pointed out in the video, this species is a federally endangered species — thus, if you catch it by accident, please exercise caution!!! Practice safe fish handling skills and do a nice and swift Catch and Release, folks.
